I've had this on my entryway console for a few weeks now and it fills the space nicely without feeling bulky. The 28-inch height puts the shade right at eye level when I'm on the couch, which I didn't expect to appreciate so much.
The bronze finish has just enough warmth to keep it from feeling cold, and at 28 and three quarter inches it finally fills the dead space next to my reading chair. The silhouette is clean without being boring, which is exactly what I wanted.
I'd been hunting for a lamp tall enough to clear my armchair, and the 28 and three quarter inch height is perfect for reading. The bronze finish looks richer in person than in the photos, almost like an antique without feeling old-fashioned.
